About MCR21

Commissioned in 1963, MCR21 was one of the BBCs “Main Fleet” Outside Broadcast vans at the center of outside broadcast programs.

The Future

We have formed a CIO trust to own and restore MCR21 and ensure it’s future. When completed we will exhibit MCR21 for educational purposes to explain the technology of how television programs were made.
